ADOLF HITLER
Adolf Hitler lead Germany when World War II began. During most of the war he lived underground in a shelter in East Prussia. It was here that Hitler controlled the German war. Hitler was mostly successful at the beginning of the war, defeating many countries and people became convinced that he was a military genius. Adolf Hitler wanted to wipe the Jewish race of the face of the earth he did something called ethnic cleansing. He killed millions of Jews in the holocaust by putting them in gas chambers, shooting them, burning them and a lot of other cruel and painful punishments. Hitler was not in power for long Hitler realized that Germany was going to lose the war. The Russians had made the German army back into Western Europe, and the Allies were moving into Germany. On April 29, 1945, Hitler married his girlfriend, Eva Bruan , in a small ceremony in his Berlin. Around this time, Hitler was told of the assassination of Italian leader Benito Mussolini . Afraid of falling into the hands of enemy troops, Hitler and Braun committed suicide the day after their wedding, on April 30, 1945. Their bodies were carried to the bombed-out garden behind the Reich Chancellery, where they were burned. Berlin fell on May 2, 1945.

his famous “all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant” quote, talking directly
about the attack on America at Pearl Harbor. He is documented as warning,
“I can run wild for six months … after that, I have no expectation of
success.” Yamamoto was killed when his plane was shot down by American
P-38′s while inspecting forward units.

Franklin D. Roosevelt
Franklin D. Roosevelt was the President of the United States when Pearl Harbor was attacked and when we became involved in World War II. He died in April of 1945 and Vice President Harry Truman took over office as the 33rd President of the United States.
